SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD

Neil Bruce is Professor of Biotechnology at the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products in the Department of Biology at the University of York . He is also a Director and co-founder of Bioniqs Ltd, a spinout ionic liquids company from the University of York . Neil's research interests encompass both microbial and plant metabolism of xenobiotic compounds in addition to biocatalysis and environmental biotechnology.

John Woodley is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby , Denmark . John's main research interests are in the study of multi-phase biocatalysis, scale-up of biocatalytic processes, bioprocess modelling for evaluation and assessment, catalytic enzyme cascades, auxiliary phase biocatalysis and in-situ product removal.

Lutz Fischer is Professor and Head of Biotechnology in the Institute of Food Science and Biotechnology, University of Hohenheim, Germany, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty Natural Sciences. His main research interests are in enzymatic and fermentation processes, screening for novel biocatalysts, immobilization of biocatalysts, engineering of enzymes, and overproduction of enzymes especially for application in food technology. He is a widely recognized expert on enzyme technology for the dairy industry in Germany.
